Les Entretiens de Vixouze sur le futur du tourisme

The second meeting of the "World Meetings on Tourism of the Future" was held at the Château de Vixouze in the Cantal region (Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region) from 5 to 7 September. This event, which brought together many experts and to which the ISTO was invited to participate in its collaboration with the Region in preparation for the 2018 World Congress in Lyon, sheds new light on the future dimensions of tourism: modes of transport, gastronomy, the role of the State in promoting tourism, new attractions, technology serving World Heritage, family and social tourism in 2050, changing leisure methods, stakes data, the consequences of global warming, etc. In short, technological innovation and all the impacts that they can generate and which will profoundly transform what is now called "tourism" were at the heart of the meetings and exchanges.
